If you’re in business, there will no doubt be a time when you need to host a conference call. It can look extremely unprofessional if you don’t have the facilities available to handle this and in turn could end up costing / losing you business. But, with that said, all is not lost. Companies now no longer need to install complex telephone systems to provide conference calling options. There are numerous companies out there that offer third party conference call services for a low monthly fee, with inclusive minutes. The conference call companies simply host your conference call as if it were your own. You and your business contacts will simply dial into the third party system and enjoy the high level of service as if it were your own system. Third party conference call systems are extremely low cost, as low as $20 - $50 per month with around 500 of inclusive minutes. Compare this with the cost of installing a system in your office or work place and the difference is immense.

If you need to make conference calls on a regular basis and don’t want to appear unprofessional, have a third party handle your conference call and save money at the same time.

There are various types of help desks out there, be it the usual telephone help desk, e-mail support, live web chat or even snail mail support (admittedly this is pretty much redundant these days). Pretty much every major business, particularly in the technology (both hardware and software) sector must provide extensive / high level support for their customers and clients. Both a before and after sales service. This, especially for companies who are struggling to make a profit can be a strain and companies in this situation often use their in house staff for support of their product or service - individuals who are not trained to deal with customers and despite all their technical knowledge, are simply not cut out to support end users.

The obvious solution to this would be to employ staff that are specifically trained in product / customer support, but again, this can prove costly. The way around this is help desk outsourcing. By outsourcing their help desk services, most companies (and their customers) are enjoying a much higher level of service at a fraction of the costs when compared to employing their existing staff for the job or putting new employees through the necessary training.

As we are huge lovers of all things technology and gadget related, we have been taking a looking at some of the most popular gadgets and general tech devices cropping up this Christmas and the one thing that keeps appearing, time and time again are Promotional USB drives or more specifically, the Promotional USB Flash Drive. For those readers who aren’t familiar with what this is, it is, as the name suggests, a USB device / dongle that uses Flash Memory to store data. The capacity of such devices range from 64mb (which to you guys is around 5 MP3s) to 4GB - which is more spacious than my RAM! Obviously the USB flash drive has been around for a long time but someone, somewhere has developed a way to turn them into a promotional device. Companies (and individuals) are now branding these devices with their corporate logos, advertising blurb and more importantly, sending them to clients / would be clients for FREE! - Now advertising aside, if someone wants to send me a 4GB storage drive, regardless of branding, I’ll take it.

The perfect thing about this gift / gadget / marketing tool is that they’re compatible with pretty much all systems out there and they’re just that bit too good to throw away and just cheap enough to be able to mass send to your business contacts. It truly is a great marketing idea and a great gadget at the same time.
