One of the most interesting gadgets on the market are laser sensored feeding and water dishes. These have a sensor point that will make them open when the pet is near and will close as soon as they stop perceiving the presence of the pet.

While this might be helpful in terms of preventing kibble getting soggy or moist, allowing fungi colonies to grow on it and can prevent dust and other particles from falling on the pet’s drinking water, there are some disadvantages. These wonderful gadgets are still battery operated and unless you are willing to take on rechargeable batteries (which, by the way, are another GREAT invention) you’ll be using the non-rechargables, which can not only cost more but damage the environment.

Therefore, it might be worth your while to take on just one of these wonderful products. Regardless if you have a dog or a cat, they come in cat and dog appropriate sizes, so using one for the water would give you a heads up and let you know how these wonderful inventions work for your pampered pooch or kitten.

All and all it might be worth your while. Where to buy them? The best prices are, as usual, on auction sites of the like and make of Ebay; though there are others available directly from the pet stores, although they are usually about $5 higher than what you see on the auction sites.

Some of the most important members of our family are our pets, so should they not have the fun of gadgetry as well. There are several great gadgets out there that your pet is sure to love.

Put some shoes on your pooch. You may find the idea of putting shoes on your dog a little humorous, but if that puppy is going to be climbing in bed with you or cuddling on your sofa, then you will be glad you had them.

An aging pup may benefit from a hot/cold doggie bed. The foam cushions all of the dog’s joints while the hot air and cold air therapy keeps them cozy all year long.

A fun idea that both you and your dog will enjoy is a collar cam. A little digital camera that fits on your dog’s collar so you can see what things look like from their point of view. A fun way to get to know your pooch better than you ever thought possible. If you want to go a little bit cheaper, there are tripods that attach right to your doggie’s back so you can mount your own digital camera.

So, when you are shopping for gadgets, do not forget the special pup in your life.

Are you tired of taking pictures using your conventional digital camera? Why not make photography an interesting affair again with lomography? Lomography cameras started life in Russia as high quality lenses but are often mistaken to be spy cameras formulated to assist in the old Soviet Union espionages. This is no longer true and now lomography is a catchphrase in the world of photography.

Lomography cameras are extremely affordable. Anyone can obtain one easily from the local camera shops but the best place to acquire one is via auction sites like eBay. If you are a beginner, it pays to get a complete package that consists of a lomography camera, 35mm film and other accessories. An ideal lomography camera to start with is the Action Sampler, a device that lets you shoot four or more snapshots consecutively. Holga cameras utilizes larger film formats that give you sharper images while a Fisheye camera is recommended for those who want to fill their photo albums with amusing, distorted pictures.

When taking photographs with a lomography camera, the essential thing to remember is to be spontaneous and unrestricted! Most lomography cameras are encased in a clear plastic body which causes rays of light to seep it but the over exposure it causes can produce rather charming photos!

If you are looking for the ideal present for the gadget-loving man in your life, you have come to the right place. Men are hard to buy gifts for, but you can never go wrong if you give them gadgets.

A keychain alcohol detector is an ideal gift for the beer buddy in your life. This handy little device accurately measures five blood alcohol levels, so you will know when to call a cab.

Another great idea is a portable DVD player. If your man travels away from home, save him the cost of Pay-Per-View and give him the power to watch a DVD he wants at anytime or place.

Swiss Army knives are always a safe bet when shopping for a man. Even if he is not the outdoors type, Swiss Army is sure to have a knife to suit his needs.

Every guy needs two watches, one for work and one for play. If your guy likes to play sports and go to the gym, he would love a nice sport watch.

If your man is a guru when it comes to computers and spends much of his time there, then a great gift would be a webcam so you can keep in touch with him even when he is at his computer.

Check your local gadget store for even more gift ideas.

The kids of today are interested in far more complex toys than Barbie and Hot Wheels. Technology that is available for children of all ages allows your child to have fun and learn all at the same time.

Children love to build things, so encourage their creativity with a modular building system. With dozens of construction possibilities, this gadget will keep kids busy for hours on end.

A popular gadget with kids today is the interactive robot. They have robots that will talk to, play with and read to your child. It is like having a smart friend around all the time.

For the little scientist in your family, some kind of science kit may be just the ticket. They have kits that teach children all sorts of things from why soda pop fizzes to how bread rises and everything in between.

If your family is blessed with a child who is fascinated with making movies, a LCD projector would be greatly appreciated no doubt. They can turn any old wall or the family’s big screen TV into their own theatre. Most projectors will plug into a DVD player, video camera, cable box or game console.

Keep your kids up to date with gadgets that are fun to play with while teaching them skills they can use throughout their lives.

Are you the sort who would go berserk at the sight of a piece of bubble wrap? Can’t resist hogging them to yourself and popping them all over the place? If this describes you perfectly well, then there is a nifty little gadget that you can purchase to fulfill your bubble wrap-popping needs.

Enter the Mugen Puchi Puchi, a battery operated mini bubble wrap toy that’s small in size but big in popularity! Created by Bandai, a major toy and game company in the land of the rising sun, the Puchi Puchi is a tiny gadget with a keyring attached to it that enables the owner to bring it everywhere they go and indulge in endless bubble pops no matter where they are! This little toy comes in a myriad of pleasing colors and several buttons that emulate the little pops in conventional bubble wraps. Pressing these buttons will elicit a satisfying pop sound! And for every 100th pop it makes, a random sound like a cow’s moo or burp will be emitted.

So sought after are these bubble wrap gadgets among all over the world, that the Japanese manufacturers have released another version to placate Puchi Puchi fans. The toys comes in a series of four and they look the same as the predecessor but for every 50th pop, a chirpy voice belonging to one of the four featured Japanese girl characters can be heard. The perfect addition for any anime paraphernalia collector!
